The Ceremony of life

The intentions, acts and performances of a ceremony are powerful beyond measure; an infinite source of wisdom can be tapped into when intentions are pure and carried out ceremoniously. The magic that lies within the ceremony is that your intentions become purer as the connection with cosmic forces are strengthened through practice and intuition.

The true art of ceremony comes through letting go completely whilst completely surrendering to the universal energies and principles that govern all of life. The vibration beyond all measure acts as the primal controlling force that can be tapped, when in harmony with this truth and its power, one can move forward in evolutionary leaps and bounds.

I am going to share a very special ceremony with you that I recently acted out with a group of people setting up an eco-village called Spithari in Greece. We must remember that we can never perform a ceremony; the ceremony performs us when we are ready. When we hand the power and control to the cosmic and universal forces we can prepare ourselves for a hugely transformative shift of awareness, far greater than anything ever before imagined or experienced.

How I ended up at the Spithari eco-village project is another story in itself, so for now I will just take you through the wisdom that this particular ceremony created for us, so that you may also benefit from the energies created and manifested. The Universal self has nothing to serve but itself, there for to work in harmony with this truth one must invite in forces that will leave no prisoners as it sets all free. This particular ceremony was followed through with the intention of your benefit and all that is. The wish for all to be transformed in such a way that nothing fails to fall into a deeper, fuller and truer state of love and being in unimaginable ways, is what carried this message to you.

I am here now, and everything is far more amazing than anything I could have ever imagined. I have known for a little while that I will spend the next few years of my life travelling the world and sharing the healing powers of ceremonies with people and places where ever I roam. However, it was here in Spithari that I began to truly embody the vision that I have nurtured and cared for in my heart.

When I arrived here I discovered I had nowhere to go or nowhere to stay for around 4 weeks and I managed well to be sure that everything will turn out far more amazing than I could have ever possibly imagined, the power of previous ceremonies has helped me let go of fears that hold me back from having impeccable faith and trust in the path I am travelling.

The timing of any ceremony shows us the very nature of what we are honoured to become one with; we have realised that our hands, thoughts and actions are the hands, thoughts and actions of the universe. As we realise this deep truth we can infinitely amplify the powers that we creatively and actively offer into the dance we share with everything.

It was the first day of the new moon in May 2013 and the energy seemed right. I knew that this was going to be something truly powerful in its transformational effects would not fail to be noticed; the ceremony was taking us into a harmony far beyond anything any of us could have ever possibly imagined.

I began preparing the ceremony by walking in the four directions to gather the necessary materials to create an offering that could integrate our vision into a reality. As I went in the first direction I began to realise something, I realised that inspiration and energy was abundantly flowing towards and through me. When Spithari was first being created the land and forest which occupied the area had been freshly burned, I had been told that the whole area had been burned and the only thing that could be seen for miles in the surrounding area were white rocks, bare soil and the remnants of burned trees. As I now walked I could see many signs of the life that was abundantly rising through the ashes. This was the first year that life was noticeable since the fire in 2008. Small trees were beginning to appear and there were many different species of herbs, bushes and other plant life beginning to effortlessly take their stand. Each plant symbolised a different aspect of life.

As I continued to walk and collect a little piece of everything I heard a strange clunk and much to my amazement I seen a black tortoise eating a plant, I spent a moment near this amazing creature and we looked into each other’s eyes and formed a deep connection. He left the food he was eating after a few amazing moments and slowly, slowly walked away. It was as if he was offering a little bit of his food to offer into the ceremony, so I took a piece and gave my thanks for what I had just realised.

The eco-village will grow slowly and effortlessly with the environment it is in, the trees did not have to force themselves to grow, they did not have to worry about the future of their development, everything just effortlessly grew in accordance with natural forces. This ceremony was a very special thing not only for the people involved in this project but for the land itself, the land was being generous and abundant towards the efforts of these people.

I began to walk back down the hillside to prepare the offering in the centre, I would return here after travelling in each direction, adding the. The next significant experience that happened when I nearly trampled on a snake, I got a shock as I realised it was most probably venomous. However I seen what the snake symbolised, it symbolised transformation, the snake sheds its old skin in order to grow. This insight provided me with more clarity about what is happening not only on this very land but around the entire globe, after all this is the year of the water snake in Chinese astrology. I found a fairly large crystal on my way back that represented the heart of the ceremony and our vision; it represented our vision becoming crystallised as part of the universal vision.

I returned to the centre and realised I needed something to package the offering in. From my time in Peru in 2009 I had learned that the Shamans there would use high quality and bright fabrics to prepare their offerings. The offering had to be made from the heart, this means that you cannot hold back whilst giving something very special and meaningful into the offering. Recently I had received the most wonderful golden fabric that was extremely dazzling and beautiful, it was very special and in the short time I had been in possession of this item I grew very attached to it, it reflected my inner light precisely. I had received this from a friend called Pavlis, in a place I had been volunteering in Greece called The Sunshine house which is a yoga centre. This particular material was from Thai Land.

I truly loved having this material but I quickly realised the reasons why it was gifted to me, the universe had given me this item for a very sacred purpose, the universe always provides abundantly and freely for the purpose of sacred ceremonies. The ceremony begins creating itself before anyone is aware that the ceremony is going to happen. The universe seeks out capable channels for fulfilling its needs to create a conscious and sacred harmony between all that is.

I then went from the centre towards the opposite direction I had been and I became aware of the different energies of this direction. As I gathered new and different energies for the offering I seen a butterfly that was quite peculiar, it had apparently just woken up from its previous state, the part that it was shedding was still attached to its body as it fluttered around. I managed to take a picture to share with you because after seeing the snake and the tortoise I began to realise how special this was and how important it is to share this with others.

When I got back to the centre I had heard that a fox must have got into the area where the geese and turkey lived because the turkey was injured and suffering. It was in the direction I was planning on going next anyway. The animals were not there for the purpose of producing meat, they were there for the purpose of producing fertiliser because the land was not the most fertile. As I neared I found my friend standing in front of a headless Turkey, clearly he was very distraught and emotional, I stood in silence for a moment with him. I then realised what had happened, the ceremony was inviting us to learn more than we could have imagined. I then very respectfully took a tail feather from this creature that I knew would serve people in many ceremonies to come, I dipped the point into the blood of the animal whilst honouring just how powerful this ceremony was turning out to be.

Two other friends had arrived earlier on in the day and would be part of this ceremony also, Yannis stated that he was going into the village to get some things and asked if I needed anything. I suddenly realised that some sage would be useful in the later parts of the ceremony, as he left I went in the final direction, this time I was only collecting wood for the fire, the wood was abundantly around in the form of very dry remnants of the trees that had lasted the blaze, there was a special quality to this wood.

The offering was prepared and the final thing that had to be added was our vision, this would be done by each one of us taking a small piece of the crystal I had found and a small seed in our hands, we each took a moment to focus our intentions into the seed and crystal. We were doing something very intentional and powerful; this act is planting the seed of our vision into the universe at the same as crystallising our vision.

Look out for the next post as this will go into the next part of the ceremony.
